I am a conference interpreter and I was commissioned by Russian Legal Translation Services to interpret simultaneously at a conference. In addition, I was partnered up (there must always be at least 2 interpreters per booth) with Jelena Thijs, the co-owner of the above agency. I was very happy with my experience. Overall, the agency demonstrated a professional and friendly attitude as well as readiness to help with any of my queries. They gave me clear instructions, ensured that I was provided with adequate working and accommodation conditions during the assignment, and made a quick payment of my fees after the conference. I have been using Russian Legal Translation Service, Amsterdam, since 2016, and always have a really good experience. The translation of various legal documents as well as specific medical reports is precise, very accurate, fast and reliable. Pricing is very reasonable and competitive.

Price for a day 680€ excluding VAT, when I asked why is her price way higher then the market price, the answer was, because of my education and experience, but as I am on vacations I will recommend you someone from my agency...on the question of hourly fee the answer was I do not charge per hour. After followed an uninvited advice: maybe you better use another agency rather then ours... Conclusion: no culture of communication, 0 client orientation, overpriced, no idea would she perform professionally in case I would hire her, but I doubt it. Interpreter with unpleasant communication skills can not be good by definition.

I had an urgent set of documents to translate from Russian and English into Dutch, all that certified and done by 1pm the next day. It was a shier luck to have found Jelena Thijs at russianlegal.nl among all the translation bureau’s. She was the only one who took it and had it done accurately and on time.
